World Martial Arts Games 2011

On 23-27 February the IV World Martial Arts Games took place in the Estonian Fair pavilions in Tallinn. It was a spectacular international event that included competitions in various combat sports, a martial arts and folklore festival, creative expositions of different nations and other cultural events. For five consecutive days competitions in many combat disciplines (ITF Taekwon-do, Sportchan, Sambo, Muay Thai, Karate, Kudo, Wu-Shu, Jendo, Real Aikido, Kalaripayattu, Sqay, Pankration, Kyokushin, Aikido) were held at various sports venues. The IV World Martial Arts Games were included in the programme of Tallinn as the European Capital of Culture 2011. About 2000 participants from 86 countries took part.
